Today is going to be such a fantastic day!
After breakfast and/or a light lunch, we are getting married at St. Nikolaus church in Etzelwang at around 1pm. Afterwards, we shall all travel to the reception venue in Oed for afternoon tea, WEDDING CAKE and other treats. Yum scrum!
A little while after we will have a spot of german tradition where the bridesmaids and girlfriends kidnap the bride. It is up to the groom along with some friends, usually the best man to find her and perform some funny forfeits to get his new wife back! They can usually be found at a pub in a nearby town drinking champagne which the groom will have to pay for!! Needless to say that the groom and his friends will also have to stop a few times in their searching endeavours to make sure they keep up their strength for all the fun and games.
After retrieving the wife, all shall return to Oed for more champagne, supper, music and games, lots of laughs and a midnight buffet to help us all continue partying into the wee hours. HOORAY!!
